| Lacquer screens, Chinoiserie furniture, trays and figural pieces such
as Santos or Blackamoor figures present unique concerns due to their delicate
nature. These concerns are carefully addressed, using appropriate materials and
techniques during restoration. Unusual lacquers such as cinnabar can also be preserved
as well. Restoration services include stabilization, reconstruction of loose pieces,
compensation of lost areas, fabrication of missing areas and the reintegration
of lacquer surface finishes to remove stains or correct discoloration.
